Subject: les Batons Gathering - Sunday 21st February
Brrrrr!.......it may still be cold and even snowy, but we'll be playing and dancing our socks off in Kent at the regular les Batons gathering on Sunday 21st February. So come and lift your spirits, get those endorphins going.
.
The music session starts at 12noon, hosted by Paul. If you play an instrument and would like to practise playing these great tunes in the French dance style please come along.

Dancing starts at 1pm, with les Batons band and other visiting musicians. It's a friendly and informal gathering, full of people mad keen to share the wonderful repertoire of dances from France.  Bring a friend or come on your own, just don't forget your comfy dancing shoes.

Where: Hollingbourne Village Hall, Eyhorne Street, ME17 1TR
When: Sunday 21st February, 12noon session, 1pm to 5pm bal
Cost: £4 on the door

There is a Sunday train service to Hollingbourne. Please note the car park is behind the village hall (double park if necessary). Two pubs close by offer Sunday lunches. More details on http://lesbatons.googlepages.com

Last month's les Batons flowed seamlessly from another splendid Eurobash weekend of music and dance workshops - now's the chance to practise those new bourrees and finesse your mazango. A couple of messages for Eurobashers: If you lost a photograph of a couple taken at the Park Lane hotel please claim it.

And did you take photographs during the weekend that you'd like to share? - please send to c_dot_walshaw_at_gre_dot_ac_dot_uk

Looking forward to playing and dancing with you on Sunday 21st February,
Phil, Paul, Isabel, Gary
