The fiddle contest at 6:00 PM. In two categories  -  Up to 18 and over 18
Open to all comers.  Entrants should play for a maximum of Five minutes – any piece(s), any style, either solo or with own accompaniment.

The Trad Gathering will perform on the Trafalgar Square stage at 2.20pm on Sunday 14th March as part of the Mayor’s St Patrick’s celebrations – during part of their performance this large group of young talented musicians will be playing for a mass Siege of Ennis and Walls of Limerick (which will be called by Sarah Pavey), please come down and help make this work amongst the masses that will be gathered in Trafalgar Square – also please come and give The Trad Gathering the hugely positive response they deserve J

 

Other acts on the main stage that day include Four Men and a Dog and Kila.

Fine traditional singer from Co. Sligo performs in East London

Mai Hernon was born in the heart of Coleman County in County Sligo, Ireland to a musical family.

She is developing a fine reputation as a superb singer of traditional songs in the Irish Tradition and this evening is a rare chance to hear her in action.
