English Country and American Contra with ScottHiggs (USA) -
Music Triple Time (NL)
Scott Higgs began
dancing in 1975, and started teaching soon thereafter. For 25 years he has
travelled the world (25 states in the US and 6 other countries) calling for
contras and English country dances. Dancers characterize Scott's contras
as "high-energy" and "swingy." His English dance programmes span the spectrum
from exuberant to elegant.
Scott will
be accompanied by Triple Time,
three fine musicians from the Netherlands: Dick Flight (violin), Wil van den
Berg (accordion) and Marieke Van Leersum (recorder), who have played for various
AADS weekends and workshops.
Music
session:
Wil van
den Berg will conduct a separate session for musicians. To allow her to prepare
for this, we ask you to indicate your participation on the registration form. .
