Subject: les Batons gathering - Sunday 21st March
Spring is here – days are warmer (just!), evenings are lighter (slightly!), and New Year resolutions are still intact (unlikely!). So there’s no excuse not to be dancing at Les Batons on Sunday 21st March – especially with BUZZNIKS as our guest band! A trio of excellent musicians from the South Coast (so quite close to France!) you can learn more about them at http://www.buzzniks.co.uk/.

As usual we start with Paul’s music session at midday, with the Bal starting at 1pm and carrying on ‘til 5……..that’s FOUR WHOLE HOURS OF BRILLIANT MUSIC AND DANCE plus lively and intelligent conversation, garlic bread, tea, coffee, the odd cake etc etc etc……..

And why not make a whole weekend of it??? There are TWO events in Kent on Saturday 20th March that are well worth a visit.

The first is the “Ramsgate Buzzâ€ð – a day of Hurdy-Gurdy and Bagpipe Workshops in – you guessed it - Ramsgate, plus an evening concert. Visit http://claire-dugue.com/latest-news/ for more info.

The second is the “Frittenden Festivalâ€ð, a day of step-dancing, pub sessions and a barn dance in – you’ve guessed it again – Frittenden! Visit http://frittendenfestival.com/ for more info.

And….ADVANCE WARNING!!! Cancel that round the world cruise, postpone the Himalayan Trek, leave the gorillas lost in the mist……At the April 18 Les Batons we have, fresh from supporting Blowzabella and en route back to France, the wonderful PARASOL. More info on the band at http://www.parasolgodongrimault.fr/

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday 21st March…….
