BBC International Event:
We are looking to invite a host of diverse or multicultural musicians to take part in a global event at Shoreditch Town Hall in Hackney on the 18th of March 2010.
We are hoping to create a miniature global village, so we are extending an invite to people from the different communities in and around London. The idea is to create an International event, using voice, instruments etc to perform to a multicultural audience.
We are hoping to create a diverse "sound" on the day, that is unique in the sense that it's a fusion of different musicians, from different backgrounds, playing different instruments. It's part of a social experiment to find a common ground despite the difference in social backgrounds or different language backgrounds.
Who can attend? Anyone who is passionate about being part of a global community and who is willing to part take in this eclectic fusion of music.
The event is from 1300 to 1900 on the day. The event will be broadcast live via BBC world TV, BBC World Service radio and the Internet.
We would be delighted if musicians from as many different backgrounds as possible were able to joing in this LIVE broadcast of this global event.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
