1. Storytelling events in Surrey

Waxing Lyrical  Ewell - Adult Storytelling Practice and Coaching Group
Waxing Lyrical -  Farnham Maltings - Adult Storytelling Practice and Coaching Group
These sessions enable those new to storytelling to try exercises in storytelling, and to get some coaching on how they tell stories.  It is a more informal setting than the storytelling circle. They also provide more experienced storytellers with the opportunity to get feedback on stories they are working upon. You do not need to have a story to tell as you will benefit from taking part in the different activities of the evening.

13th April : Waxing Lyrical – Ewell- Adult Storytelling Practice and Coaching Group
Venue: The Sanctuary.St. Michael's Church, Church Street, Ewell, Surrey. KT17 2AS.      
Time:     7.30- 10pm
Price:     £6/ £4 concessions
Notes: “The Sanctuary” has recently implemented a “no shoes” policy for the main hall- so please bring sox or soft shoes to change into.

22nd April : Waxing Lyrical -  Farnham Maltings - Adult Storytelling Practice and Coaching Group
Venue: The Riverside Café, Bridge Square, Farnham, Surrey GU9 7QR
Time:     7 – 9.30pm

Age restrictions: Not suitable for under 14's
Notes: This is the fourth Thursday- because there is a beer festival the previous week!! 

23rd April :   Patrick Buckingham tells “ Past Times and Parables” at Three Heads in a Well Storytelling Circle
Patrick Buckingham tell tales from the city and from the shire- stories of the light and of the dark to inspire wisedom and wonder.
There are also some open mike slots : max 10 mins- no reading aloud allowed! Sign up when you arrive – first come first served.

28th May : Alison Royce tells “Wise, Weird and Wonderful” at Three Heads in a Well Storytelling Circle
Alison comes from Hammersmith’s “Around the Fireside” storytelling club. Tonight she tells stories of intrigue, passion, and manipulation. Tales for the overindulged, rebellious,  confused and audacious generation.

25th June : Sef Townsend tells “A Tale of the Middle Sea” - Un Kuento de la Mar del Sentro' at Three Heads in a Well Storytelling Circle
Sef Townsend is joined by Rebekka Weddell and Raphael Rodan to tell  
Stories of Bloody War and Perfect Peace drawn from
the ancient Sephardic, Turkish & Arab romances of the Middle Sea,
(the Mediterranean), with live music, taking us to worlds of
delight of the spice market as well as to the horrors of the battlefield.
