John Smith is
quietly becoming recognized as one of the most exciting voices on the British
folk scene. He's toured with folk legend John Martyn (appearing at The Stables
twice) and Davy Graham (also calling in at The Stables). He's also supported
John Renbourn, Martin Carthy and Martin Simpson and shared the stage with Cara
Dillon and Gomez's Ben Ottewell. With a gravel-and-honey voice accompanied by
his signature guitar work, John Smith sings of bloody murders, the winter
landscape, strange misfits and unashamed romance.

Nathan Riki Thomson (Antonio Forcione Quartet)
leads an international ensemble of talented multi-instrumentalists playing music
from his stunning debut album Under Ubi's Tree. Thomson's album goes beyond
established musical genres, infusing contemporary influences with traditional
modes from around the world - an evening of enthralling world jazz to surprise
and inspire in equal measure. With Nathan Riki Thomson on double bass, flutes

Stacey and Mark met for the first time in 1991
at a songwriters' night in Nashville. They had their own solo careers - Stacey's
first show was playing rhythm guitar in her brother's band, Steve Earle &
the Dukes. She spent 18 months on tour with her brother and then returned to
Nashville to start a career of her own as a country/folk singer/songwriter.
Their songs are the diaries of their life, releasing duo albums and opening for
some of the best: Joan Baez, Steve Earle, Willie Nelson, Richard Thompson, Iris
Dement and many more.

Rusby Band) on melodeon, Joss Clapp on acoustic bass guitar and Peter Tickell
(Peatbog Faeries) on fiddle. They provide a characterful setting for Kathryn's
