Subject: WEEKLY IRISH SESSION
We have decided to rest the weekly Irish session for the forseeable future -

We are hoping to keep the Unicorn at Bekesbourne session (2nd Sunday of each month) open but to widen its scope to Celtic music rather than purely Irish although if mainly Irish music players turn up, that's how it will remain.

Regarding the session in the Ship Inn at Ospringe, this is also coming under consideration due to lack of attendance

So if any one is passing through or would like to come play some Irish tunes with others, perhaps they'll phone me on 01227 786490 or email me and we'll see who we can muster and arrange the venue...

Some of us will be meeting every week because we dont want to lose the music and get "rusty", this will be Paul, John P, Judy, Ian and me and possibly John A. Although this meeting will be at a venue to be arranged, it can in no way be looked upon as a performance - just some friends getting together to play Irish music. I have phoned those of you who weren't at the meeting tonight and we all feel this is the best way to go. Judy will be contacting others.

Andy has said he does not envisage coming back to any sessions in the forseeable future (health reasons) and " its time for nature to take its course" so this will the last of these emails that I will be sending out - its best to check Beau's Kentfolk website or Pauls banjolin blog for further news.

I have to say that it is a relief not to feel responsible for turning up to sessions just in case visitors come by and have a wasted journey.....
