Subject: Show of Hands tomorrow - yay!!

Hi Everyone

Last shout for Show of Hands tomorrow night in Folkestone. Still a few tickets available for this if you're at a loose end tomorrow night, just come along - there may be tickets available on the door, but I can't guarantee that. It might be better to give them a ring and check first. Thanks to everyone who's booked so far, there's a great turn out, better than we hoped for, in view of the fact that it's a different format to usual and we had no idea how that would appeal.... Box office number is 01303 858500
There's a really nice restaurant upstairs in the venue, why not come early and have a bite to eat first. Looking forward to seeing many of you there, and to a great concert. Don't forget your dancing shoes!!
Talking of 'The Hands!' Did you catch Steve Knightley on Radio 4 on Saturday, and repeated today? I've been meaning to tell you but its been a horrid week, too horrid to tell you about so I won't. Thank goodness for tomorrow.. and iplayer! You can catch the show again here.....

Very interesting to hear the original terrifying tale behind Steve's haunting song 'The Dive', from the mouth of the Diver himself. Incredible how he said that his mother didn't know anything about the incident until she heard Steve's song. Probably just as well!!
Over half the tickets have gone for Gigspanner, so don't forget to book yours soon. That's the 14th May in the Barn. Come and see Peter Knight presented with his Hancock for Best Musician.
Only 38 tickets left for Fairport Acoustic on the 27th May at the CCISC.
Flossie Malavialle and Keith Donnelly tickets are starting to sell well too now with nearly half gone already, 6th June in the Barn.
Only 30 tickets left for Steve Knightley on the 30th June at St Gregorys.

Don't forget it's Sweeps Festival in Rochester this weekend..... Bellowhead, Cara Dillon and much more, there's a good article about it in this week's Whats On. Good luck to all the team there, hope the sun shines for you. If anyone has seen anything in the papers about Show of Hands, can you let me know, I can't find it, despite sending it weeks ago. They did however get a great front page feature in the excellent local guide W3 - thanks so much to Colin and the team there for helping with that, much appreciated.

See you in Folkestone! Don't forget it's the Quarterhouse, Tontine Street, not the Leas Cliff Hall. If you go there you'll have a shock - it's Welsh rock band the Lost Prophets, my daughter is a bit annoyed I won't let her go and she has to come to Show of Hands instead! She'll learn!
Thanks to all the responders to the Christine Collister query. Quite a few would be keen to see her, so watch this space.
cheers fer now

Debs (with blisters and sunburnt shoulders from gardening this morning instead of working - that'll teach me! )
