Hi Everyone
time flies, not long after the great gig last week with Lisa Mills it is time to tell you about the next one on 20th May.

Mrs Yarringtons Music Club latest turn of roots music now takes you to compositions inspired by the Artic North with a visit from The Kittiwakes playing songs from their critically acclaimed album, ‘Lofoten Calling’. The concept of the album is based on the people, wildlife, landscape and folklore of the Lofoten Islands, the north western archipelago in arctic Norway. Bathed by the Gulf Stream waters and the 'Aurora Borealis', they are home to an ancient Viking culture and fishing industry. Critics have cried, ‘‘Impressive and uniquely compelling, FRoots. Given 3 stars by MOJO magazine and accompanied by, 'Highly inventive. Lofoten Calling should be compulsory listening on every remote trawler battling on swelling tides.' Coinciding with the BBC’s series of programmes on the sea it gives a chance to hear the music inspired from a life influenced by the ocean.

tickets are £7 members  and £8.50
available from the usual places on line and at the Kings Head Battle

As we are talking about the Kings Head, don't forget the Kings Head Session on all weekend featuring, Brooks Williams  amongst many more - check all the info on the website
