Subject: Music in Kent -
Hi,
Sorry there have been no events for a while, no venue.
They won’t be happening as regularly, but at last I have a potential venue,
and I am in discussion with Allison
Williams (see below) and with
the venue as to a possible gig in June,
also re: a possible gig with Saskia
Tomkins and Brandon Scott Behara at the end of March (see below)
There is no guarantee at this stage that these next two gigs will happen, but
if you are interested, please email me (please list which of the possible
dates you can do), and the chances will go up :
They will probably be in Bridge, near Canterbury ....
Possible dates : March 28th, 29th or 30th :
an evening of music
from Saskia Tomkins (violin, viola, nyckelharpa) and Brandon Scott Behara (acoustic guitar, banjo and saxophone).
Probable date : Friday June 17th :
Allison Williams – Old Time music – Claw Hammer Banjo, vocals,
played the London Barbican a couple of years ago.
Appeared at Grove Ferry last year, with Chance McCoy on fiddle. This year she
is with Rachel Eddy, “a fantastic West Virginia
fiddler/multi-instrumentalist"
These won’t happen unless I have a good number of replies with yeses with
dates.
Cheers,
Beau
