Just received from Trevor Hyett:
I'm looking
into the possibility of organising 3 workshops to coincide with the (More)
Growling Old Men on tour. Their last gig is in London on Friday
September 23, and so I'm looking at putting something together for the next
day, Saturday Sept 24.
At this stage, I'm just testing the water to
see who might be interested in an intermediate/advanced day-long workshop on
banjo with LEON HUNT; mando with BEN WINSHIP and guitar with JOHN
LOWELL
Until I
know how many folk are interested, it's difficult to offer more detail, but
let's say - for now - a 6 hour day which might look something like this:
Session 1
12.00 - 13.30 - tuition
Break
13.30 - 14.00 - queries, loose ends, tea
Session 2
14.00 - 15.30 - tuition
Break
15.30 - 16.00 - queries, loose ends, tea
Session 3
16.00 - 17.15 - tuition
Plenary
17.20 - 18.00 - feedback &/or Tutor Tunes????
My guess is that we may well be able to extend the
event into the evening, but we haven't got that far yet! Nor can I offer any
idea of costs. To some extent that might depend on the level of interest. Let
me know whether you might be interested, no commitment, just give me an idea of
how well such a workshop might be received.
Look forward to hearing from you.
