Here’s some information about the Louisiana  bands lined up for June and July.

We’re always trying to get more people to enjoy this wonderful music, so if you can get a group together we’ve got a nice little offer for you:

For any one gig:

                Buy 5 tickets and get 1 free…… so 5 tickets at £15 each is £75, plus 6^th ticket free   (6 tickets for the price of 5)

                Buy 10 tickets and get 3 free……so 10 tickets at £15 each is £150, plus 11^th, 12^th and 13^th ticket free (13 tickets for the price of 10)

Steve Riley with Out of the swamp – Wednesday 15^th. June: Steve Riley

Steve Riley, from Mamou Louisiana, the heart of Cajun country,  is a widely acknowledged master of the Cajun accordion and its singularly powerful sound. There has never been an official competition among Cajun accordionists. Whenever a contest does arise, Steve Riley usually wins it, or judges it. Despite the lack of official metrics or quantifying factors, it remains true that most people think Steve is the best there is, and very few would argue the point. His playing is a standard by which timing, phrasing and ingenuity are measured on the royal instrument of South Louisiana. That, combined with his searing, emotional vocals, songwriting, soulful fiddling and onstage front man charisma have led many to refer to the band simply as "Steve Riley.". Only UK gig.   £15, doors 7.15pm

Marc and Ann Savoy and their two sons Joel and Wilson are the first family of Cajun music, but fame and fancy titles aren’t their thing. Despite having played on some of the biggest stages in the world, they know that Cajun’s true spirit is more likely to be found at the jam sessions back at the famous Savoy Music Centre near Eunice, Louisiana.  And yet, that spirit really does inspire the family’s performances and soaks through their raw, sensual, and expert renditions of the some of the best Cajun music you’re ever likely to hear.  Your only chance to hear and dance to this top band  in the South East.  £15 doors 7.15pm

Welcome to the world of Feufollet, a band both deeply rooted in the francophone soil of Louisiana and pushing boldly into unexplored yet utterly natural varieties of Cajun experience. Though famous for their renditions of heart-breaking songs and rollicking tunes, the quintet breaks new ground on En Couleurs (their 5th release) featuring originals that draw on deep roots tempered by a cutting edge of contemporary life.
