English Acoustic Collective Summer School
July 25th-29th 2011
Ruskin Mill, Nailsworth, Gloucestershire

The EAC continues its holistic approach to traditional music making in the inspiring surrounds of Ruskin Mill, Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.  Several places are still available for a week designed to engage instrumentalists from all backgrounds and levels in the development of their own style.  This year's course will be led by Rob Harbron and Miranda Rutter with guest tutor John Dipper.

Description

Are you a musician who would like to work as a music leader? Just setting out on your music leading career? Not sure where to start? The START UP is for you!

You will be able to come along to this jam packed half day session, where you will get the opportunity to introduce yourself to us and find out a bit more about who we are and what we do. The session will take you on an informative journey around the world of music leading and will give an insight into what it is like to work as a music leader.

“Start Up” aims to provide you with information on the music leading profession, from an overview of the type of work available, through how to navigate local and national contacts, and how to link in to what is going on.

You will receive information on training that you can access to develop yourself professionally and be given the opportunity to reflect on your work and your skills and how you might use them as a Music Leader!
