Barge - MONDAY CANCELLATIONS:

Due to dwindling audience numbers over the last few months
it is with deep regret that we announce the cancellation of
all Monday night 'Folk at the Barge' gigs until further
notice - the pub has been losing money on these nights and
simply cannot afford to continue to do so.

As I'm sure you will all be aware, this is not a decision
that has been taken lightly; we have been hosting Monday
night folk/blues/jazz without a break for 20 years (since
1991) and are very sorry to let it go.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to everybody who
has supported us over the years, players and punters alike.

Wednesday and Saturday gigs are not affected by this
decision and will continue as advertised (this includes
'Bards at the Barge' open mic night, on the first Wednesday
of each month).
