THE NEVADA STREET FOUR
A quartet specialising in music rooted in hot jazz of the 1920s and 30s with the light hearted fun to match. They conjure up the foot tapping sounds of the Gatsby era Entertaining with their cultivated distinctive sound, made up of four stunningly accomplished instrumentalists featuring some of the UK’s finest exponents of 20s and 30s Jazz. The group unites Le QuecumBar’s popular Thursday night resident duo, Richard White (reeds) and Colin Good (piano), with Malcolm Earle-Smith (trombone), and Martin Wheatley (guitar). Delivering a mix of New Orleans classics and Tin Pan Alley favourites along with delightful 4-part vocals of tunes by George Gershwin and Hoagy Carmichael, among others. Generating a great sense of fun into their performances the band has a reputation of enchanting audiences with their high standard of musicianship and entertaining camaraderie that has musical charm by the boat load!
