Feeling all strung out? Life in a spin?
Swing your thing with this rocking swing sing foursome! Feeling all strung
out? Life in a spin? Well then let George Washingmachine wash away the dust
of everyday life. When it comes to knuckle-busting feats on the violin,
George doesn't play second fiddle to anyone! George Washingmachine is a swing
violinist and raconteur who draws more from Stuff Smith than Stéphane
Grappelli. A dazzling display of dynamic dexterity is what you will get when
you come and see this quartet of superbly conditioned young musicians.
Don't let the beer guts fool you... 'cos these guys can swing !!!!!

THE NEVADA STREET FOUR
A quartet specialising in music rooted in hot jazz of the 1920s and 30s with
the light hearted fun to match. They conjure up the foot tapping sounds of the
Gatsby era Entertaining with their cultivated distinctive sound, made up of
four stunningly accomplished instrumentalists featuring some of the UK’s
finest exponents of 20s and 30s Jazz. The group unites Le QuecumBar’s popular
Thursday night resident duo, Richard White (reeds) and Colin Good (piano),
with Malcolm Earle-Smith (trombone), and Martin Wheatley (guitar). Delivering
a mix of New Orleans classics and Tin Pan Alley favourites along with
delightful 4-part vocals of tunes by George Gershwin and Hoagy Carmichael,
among others. Generating a great sense of fun into their performances the
band has a reputation of enchanting audiences with their high standard of
musicianship and entertaining camaraderie that has musical charm by the boat
load!
