Subject: Blean's mid summer music festival 30th June 6-10pm

Dear Music mates

heard yesterday that Brendan Power (voted BB2 2012 folk award for best duo) is coming along as a special guest for the main stage and open session in the small hall for the evening of the music festival.  Tim Edey wanted to come too but is away on tour with the Chieftains in Belgium so is otherwise engaged, as you'll know he got the separate 2012 folk musician award and is part of their duo.

He'll probably come another time with any luck.

It's not me who has these connections but one of our supporters who dared to ask - hence this brilliant outcome.

Brendon, like you, is giving his time and talent to Raise the Roof to upgrade our old village hall, so it should be a marvellous evening with you all - need to preserve a bit of this heatwave until June then we can be outside on the recreation ground, as before, and dance in the lights from Jim's jeep, as the sun goes down.

Brendon has asked about PA and I've said that the Hoodeners usually set this up and he can use it - hope this is OK big Steve and Captain Steve?

Over and out and I'll sort out a play list when I have a minute.  Please spread the news.  Too late to put it on the advert in AKF which is out soon but have asked Kathy & Bob to mention it in their future news columns.
