FORTHCOMING GUESTS:

MARCH 6TH – CATHRYN CRAIG & BRIAN WILLOUGHBY
(http://www.craigandwilloughby.com/)

Craig & Willoughby met in Nashville where he was writing songs for his debut solo album. They co-wrote several songs for that CD, including the poignant Alice’s Song, dedicated to Brian’s autistic niece. Brian’s British folk rock influence (ex-lead guitarist of Strawbs) mixes well with Cathryn’s roots, showcasing her voice and his guitar and their intricately crafted songs in a unique and dynamic way.

MARCH 13TH – MARTYN WYNDHAM-READ
(http://www.martynwyndhamread.com/)

Martyn, who will be performing with Iris Bishop (Concertinas, Accordion) and Gary Holder (Bass), has been a stalwart of the folk scene since the 1970’s. Most of his music comes from Australia, where he lived in the 1960’s (working on a South Australian sheep station) and has since re-visited many times. He is an engaging performer, combining songs, recitations, stories and anecdotes of outback life.

MARCH 20TH – PHILIP HENRY & HANNAH MARTIN
(http://www.philliphenryandhannahmartin.co.uk/)

Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin are two fine young musicians who first came together in the band Roots Union. Philip has gained a reputation for his slide guitar and beatbox harmonica playing, while singer songwriter Hannah complements his virtuosity on fiddle and banjo. They have very capably supported Show of Hands on two tours and previously appeared at Dartford with Phil Beer.

MARCH 27TH MIKE SILVER & JOHNNY COPPIN
(http://mikesilver.jigsy.com/ & http://www.johnnycoppin.co.uk/)

This promises to be a great evening, with two wonderful singer songwriters for the price of one! COME EARLY because they will be performing three sets, one each and one together, starting at 8.30. Both have been playing on the folk scene for many years and are well known to our Dartford audience, so they need very little introduction. Expect an evening of fine music, with wide appeal, and lots of opportunities to join in with the chorus.
