"Cheap Day Return"
The new Sally
Ironmonger CD "Cheap Day Return" will be available this
month. Recording (at Ranscombe Studio, Rochester) is now
completed and the final product is being packaged. Eleven of the
thirteen tracks were written by Sally Ironmonger and Brian Carter, with
much appreciated input from Shaun Murray (guitar, mandolin, backing
vocals), Brian Rodgers (guitar), Marion Rodgers (percussion), Ian
Cutler (fiddle), and Jim Riley (percussion, backing vocals, harmonica,
and much more). We'll let you know when it is finally
available.
Sweeps Festival, Rochester, May 5th-6th
I
am delighted to be performing an opening set for the Barbara
Dickson concert in the cathedral on Saturday 5th May, as well as being
in concert on the Edith May Barge on Sunday 6th May - tickets available

excellent music venue in Tonbridge, with the Sally Ironmonger Trio,
featuring Brian Carter & Shaun Murray. Come along if you are
in the vicinity ... or make a special trip! This is one of those
great pubs that keeps the faith with good quality acoustic music.
Tom Thumb First Friday Folk & Roots
I continue to
host the Folk & Roots Night at the Tom Thumb Theatre in Margate on
the first friday of each month. April 6th (Good Friday) will be a
'club night' with an Americana flavour, featuring Red Eye (Chris
Taylor, Trevor Stephenson & Steve Moreham), Katie Too (Katie
Bradley, Geoff Sandiford & Dominic Abrahms, and Graham Cousins (of
Missouri Gutts). Only £5 admission, tickets available from
