Subject: Fw: Saturday 16th June - Blues night for Chestnut tree House and Midwives and Parents Support

I am promoting a blues night for these two charities and would be grateful if you could help me promote it and support it on the night.
All the profits from the night will be supporting both charities.
Please help by coming to the event which will be a great evening of music and will provided much needed funds to the two charities.

Chestnut Tree House and Midwives and Parent Support (MAPS) are two charities in the frontline of care
They depend on money raised through events and donations and I would be very grateful for your help in promoting and supporting this charity blues night.

Saturday 16th June
Charity Blues Night

with Kit Holmes and The Crossroads Band UK
Losing a baby at childbirth or having a child with a life limiting illness is traumatic and it is hard for parents and families come to terms with it.  Charities such as MAPS (Midwives  and Parents Support) and Chestnut Tree House provide tremendous practical and emotional support at crucial times in the lives of families.  MAPS was set up by Burgess Hill midwife, Pam Parsons OBE and Chestnut Tree House is the only children?s hospice in Sussex. They both rely on grants and donations to continue to provide care and need financial support.

To help them continue their work there is a blues night on Saturday 16th June (doors open 7.00pm) in the Martlets Hall, Burgess Hill featuring Kit Holmes and The Crossroads Band UK.
The event is supported by the Burgess Hill Community Festival and all profits will be going to both charities.

Tickets cost ?12.00 (?10.00 concessions) in advance / ?14.00 (?12.00 concessions) on the door and are available from the Martlets Box Office or call 01444 242 888
or online via www.snowdropmusic.com .

Kit Holmes
?Blues-driven roots with a soul sensibility?
Kit?s sultry vocals and virtuoso guitar playing have wowed audiences across the UK.  Her music crosses many boundaries and her albums have received rave reviews in the music and national press.
Recent concerts include: Paul McCartney?s LIPA; the Anne Frank Awards at the BBC; a performance for Bill Bryson and Andy Kershaw and a headline show at the International Guitar Festival of Great Britain.  In 2011, Kit released her eagerly anticipated third album, Driving into the Blue, which features the legendary double bass player Danny Thompson, to high critical acclaim.  Expect an enthralling and energetic live performance from Kit and her excellent band (guitar, fiddle, bass).

The Crossroads Band UK
When you have a front man (Stuart Barbour) who produced and co wrote albums for Alvin Stardust, and  toured with Alvin for 6 years and a trumpet player who played with Wham, Elton John and at Live Aid you know you are in for a treat. The band call themselves a "faith blues band" playing a mix of original songs and also tracks from people like Blind Willie Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Buddy Guy.
