Subject: Only a few tickets left

Godalming Borough Hall Ceilidhs

There are only a dozen tickets remaining for this Saturday's special ceilidh at Godalming Borough Hall.  Tickets are available online plus a few can be found at Record Corner in Pound Lane, Godalming, for over-the-counter sales.  Details will be put on the website on Saturday updating the latest ticket situation.  

Please don't set out without purchasing or reserving tickets in advance.  We really don't enjoy turning people away!


Saturday 26th May, 8.00pm
The All-Star English Ceilidh Band (featuring Bellowhead's John Spires) with dance caller Sheena Masson
The Borough Hall, Bridge Street, Godalming GU7 1HR

The All-Star English Ceilidh Band are Nina Hansell (fiddle) and Gareth Kiddier (keyboards), from The Bismarcks and Polkaworks, and John Spiers (squeezeboxes) from Bellowhead with Sheena Masson calling the dances. This will be the line-up's one-and-only ever dance - they came together to put in a promise for an auction to support The Oxford Folk Festival - and the Godalming Borough Hall Barn Dances put in the highest bid!

The doors open at 7.45pm and the dance will begin at 8.00pm and end at 11.15pm. Tickets are ?10 each and are available by post or online. Family and party rates are available.

White Horse Ceilidhs and Folk for M.S.
join forces and offer the lively and energetic a chance to dance the night away in traditional style with the Aardvark Ceilidh Band. The Aardvarks have established a reputation for delivering traditional dance music in a high-energy style - this band truly rocks!. Caller Pete Grassby will be there to guide all-comers through each dance so everyone, experienced dancer or complete beginner, can have fun and dance their socks off!

Folk for Multiple Sclerosis
Folk for M.S. has been providing entertainment and raising funds for twenty-two years, a total of ?42,000 so far. Both events run from 8pm until 11.30pm and will have a licensed bar with beers supplied by local breweries. Tickets for the ceilidh are ?8 and the concert ?10 with under 16?s half-price.
