The
forthcoming album from the Nest's founder Sam Lee, a work several
years in conception which brings together a multitude of experiences
and influences for a musician who has cut an unique course in his
artistic development. This 8-track release with mixes done by the
legendary John Wood (of Nick Drake fame) comprises material gleaned
from years of research and exploration into the forgotten songs and
sounds of these Isles. ?Ground Of Its Own' brings together songs
directly learned from English Gypsy and Irish and Scottish Traveller
communities until now unheard in the wider music world.

Coming from a
family of English folk singers, Seamus Cater carries the torch from a
contemporary perspective. Having spent twelve years as a member of
the eclectic Amsterdam music scene and four years previously in
Manchester, he injects new subject matter, arrangement and
orchestration to these traditional roots.
Born in a small
town in Finland and brought up in a vibrant atmosphere of many
musical influences, Viljam Nybacka's musical development progressed
through classical and electric guitar. He moved to Amsterdam to study
electric bass and soon became a member of the highly esteemed
N-Collective.

Sz?szcs?v?s is a small village located in the Kis-Kukullo River
valley of Transylvania, in Romania. The majority of the village's 900
inhabitants are Hungarians, with 20% Gypsies. The core of the
Sz?szcs?v?s Band being brought to you in London is the pr?m?s (lead
fiddle) J?mbor Istv?n whose nickname is Dumnezeu (or God in
Romanian), and Cs?nyi S?ndor on fiddle, his son Alin playing kontra,
and Alin's brother Sanyika on double-bass. In addition to their main
instruments, most of the musicians also play the other instruments
well and are usually outstanding dancers. Most of them make their
living by playing music and if we are lucky enough that they will
also demonstrate some of their dancing skills at the gig.
