Thursday 5 July - "The Story of Appalachian Music" with the Kent Carters, plus Betty & Mike of the Acoustic Astronauts.  Musical illustrations spanning the British tunes and songs carried to America, through the classic twenties and thirties sounds, to early bluegrass, old-time influences in country music, and the current revival by singers and songwriters like Gillian Welch. 7pm at St Julians Club, ?7 [?5 over-60/under-16/St Julians members] - dining available before the concert
