Dansez Francais 7th July - Gavotte de l'Aven workshop and Bastille Bal
Our last session this summer, before we go off to plunder French & Breton
dance festivals for new dances, stunning musicians and bliss-filled bals...
At 3pm Michel 'Smoky' Meli?res will be showing us how to do all six parts of
the Gavotte de l'Aven, then we'll do it later in the Bal, when looooads of
local musicians will come and play for the Party.
As usual there will be the ceremonial singing of La Marseillaise (words
supplied, but many of you will have last year's sheet and will have been
practising... ) and dancing of the Scottische Republicaine... wear blue,
white & red if you can, and celebrate La F?te Nationale a week early...
Shared buffet supper following a Vin d'Honneur at 6.30pm (bring a glass and a
dish to share and crockery, spoons etc)
Please book with us if you want to come to the workshop, so we know how many
to cater for.

Patcham dances 2012: after this one, ? bient?t until September, when we
start the new season with Trio Clio, then in October the return of our
friends from Picardy - Peut Q'Manquer, followed by Buzzniks, Richard Jones'
new band Moltenamba, and Brigitte Kloareg and Yann-Fanch Perroches are back
in April. We are still booking for Spring 2013 onwards (get in touch!!)
