BRIGHTON ACOUSTIC SESSION

Monday July 2nd

Saffron Summerfield
Once in Trader Horne - an offshoot of Fairport Convention - Saffron performs her own songs & arrangements of traditional songs, tunes and blues on guitar and cuatro. She has a back catalogue of highly respected recordings from the mid seventies, on her own Mother Earth Music label, which still sell around the world and has written songs for BBC R4?s Start the Week and Channel 4 films.

Her latest CD - 'Halcyon'- has received excellent reviews and featured on BBC radio playlists, radio stations in USA, Belgium, Holland and Germany.

'Her new CD will surely bring Saffron a whole new audience?her singing is even more compelling and expressive?'
Living Tradition

An excellent singer, excellent songwriter ... words like cool, classy and maturity spring to mind.
fRoots

This woman is a brilliant guitar player?she connects with the audience from the very minute she steps on stage.
