Le Q Records latest
masterpiece and commemorative Triple CD - AVAILABLE for download at
linnrecords.com Le QuecumBar International Gypsy Swing Guitar Festival 2010
LEQ0108 celebrating to 100th Birthday of Django Reinhardt
200 minutes of sublime live highlights bonus tracks interviews with Stochelo
Rosenberg, Tcha Limberger and Biel Ballester.
A triple cd commemorative pack of recordings set over the nine night sold out
festival (a first for London), that includes star soloists appearing on stage
together for the first time; all passionate representatives of the essence of
Gypsy swing. This pack captures the energy and passion of 34 exceptional
musicians; global Gypsy players from 6 countries who united and gathered in
London for one reason only, to play homage to the Gypsy guitar genius Django
Reinhardt and to honour his 100th birthday.
Press review by Dave Gelly The Observer, Sunday 11 July 2010 ? This triple-CD
set contains some truly astounding music. The sheer virtuosity often beggars
belief, but it's the inventiveness and creative abandon in the playing of such
masters of the genre as Lollo Meier and S?bastien Giniaux, and especially the
multi-talented Tcha Limberger, that make these performances truly remarkable.
I can't say "unbelievable", because I was there when some were recorded at
London's Le QuecumBar, back in January, at the festival to celebrate Django
Reinhardt's centenary and this was exactly how it came across at the time.?
SONGLINES - SIMON BROUGHTON ?This was music straight from the soul, played in
the perfect setting ? one of London?s hidden gems?
JAZZ PREVIEW.COM ?This music has deep roots, but in its soulfulness, in the
versatility of its imagination and in its sheer exuberance, the ability of
Gypsy swing/jazz to charm and seduce audiences remains as powerful as ever.
Prepare to be enchanted! ?
LONDONNET.CO.UK ?the biggest collection of Gypsy Swing talent in the UK ever.?

audiences worldwide with their interpretation of Django?s music. Multi-

description. He?s toured the world recently as a composer, a guitarist, and

Budapest Gypsy Orchestra. They will be joined by Andy Crowdy (double bass) and

The great International Belgian violinist ALEXANDRE CAVALIERE GYPSY TRIO
Alexandre; violin, Manu Bonetti : guitare solo & Walter Gonella : rythmic
guitar Alexandre Cavaliere was born in 1985 into a musical family, surrounded
by musical instruments. Rocked by Django Reinhardt and St?phane Grappelli's
melodies, musical swing comes naturally. His joy of playing is visible and
highly infectious, the crowds love him! From television, to radio and
concerts his performances shine and enrapture European crowds at Antibes-
Juan-les-Pins, Marciac, Samois-sur-Seine, Liege, Liberchies, Ga?me, Maubeuge,
the jazz marathon of Brussels, the Eurojazz Awards and the Belgian Tourist
office in London.
At 6 he played snare drum in his father's orchestra, at 8 the piano, drums,
and then the violin where he best expresses his improvisation and great
musical sensitivity. In 1998 whilst rehearsing with his fathers band Jazzy
Strings, overheard by Didier Lockwood, Babik Reinhardt and Frank Hag?ge they
were surprised to discover a 12-year-old holding the violin.! Astonished at
his virtuosity they invite him to Django d' Or, Brussels, and then Paris, his
success, immediate from which "L'ALBUM " is born (H?bra records).
Thanks to Dorado Schmitt whom he accompanied at the NEW YORK Django Reinhardt
festival at BIRDLAND, he has met and played with the worlds best of this genre
