venue 65..........Festival Dance House, but so much more

Our biggest venue welcomes a bigger than ever programme. With afternoon headline shows as well as the BIG evening dance stuff, Venue 65 (previously The Festival Dance House) is the place to be for afternoons of Spoken Word and music with Ian McMillan and his Orchestra, an afternoon of first class music from across the pond with Larkin Poe and Old Man Luedecke and some of the best songwriting around with ex-front man of Idlewild Roddy Woomble.

And that's before we ramp it up to the evenings with Bellowhead, Edward II, Peatbog Faeries and The Albion Band.

welcome to The BIG CLUB

Previously the Concert Stage this venue gets a make-over this year. Now in a stunning Big Top and spun round 90 degrees, there's more room for more of you to sit, stand, lounge, make your home or just pop in and out. The new shape should make it feel more intimate but keep all the space and great staging.

Home to some of the best music you will hear this year with the likes of Nic Jones, Donul Lunny, Martin Simpson, Kathryn Tickell, Esquisse, Roy Bailey, Brass Monkey, O'Hooley & Tidow, Jon Boden.....

ceilidhs with real atmosphere

Starting with the Welcome on Thursday and then going right through to last thing Monday we have enough ceilidh and dance to have you leaving Towersey completely danced out. Our Ceilidhs are incredibly inclusive and great fun. Real escapism in a little corner of the Oxfordshire countryside.

This year's bands include Old Swan Band, Peeping Tom, Hekety, Chalktown, DanceCupola, Lebedek, Ceilidhography and The Cock & Bull Band.

Our now famous "Themed" Ceilidh is "All At Sea". So join The Old Swan Band with caller Dave Hunt on Sunday for a night on the High Seas. Dress for water!

Plus a very special "Dave Parry Memorial Ceilidh" with the Cock & Bull Band & Caller Michael Catovsky. Dave was the long-time melodeon player with Geckoes and several Oxfordshire Morris Teams. He sadly passed away in Spring of 2012.

beer tokens....the easy way to pay

Hello from the FestivAles clan! We're turbo charged for another great Festival. This year we're bringing you an excellent line up of award-winning ales, some favourites from last year and some new ones afoot just to shake things up. We have Wheel Power from local Chiltern brewery, brewed in support of local charity WheelPower, owners of Stoke Mandeville Stadium, spiritual home of The Paralympics. Sup a tipple of Dr Hexters Healer - sure to refresh even the most weariest of workers or the magnificent Maggs Mild. This year we are increasing our range of still ciders. Don't worry, we still have Old Rosie, but joining her will be Fannys Bramble, the smooth drinking Two Trees Perry and hearty Janet's Jungle Juice to name a few. Can't choose? Don't worry! Be Happy! Come to our tasting session 10:30am Friday at the main bar and you can get to try some and meet some of the brewers! Numbers limited.

Please note, this year we're trying a beer token system. This is important to note as you'll only be able to buy beer tokens from the Headless Horseman Main Bar and the Venue 65 Bar, not The Ceilidh or The Big Club Bars and cash will not be taken.. Stock up early on tokens and relax for the rest of the Festival! We hope this will cut down on some of the queing time and we have worked in some promotional deals so you get good value for money.

As last year, please please remember to complete your tasting note forms and tell us what you think. You could win a day at one of our breweries!
