FORTHCOMING GUESTS:

SEPTEMBER 4TH ? MIRANDA SYKES & REX PRESTON with GRANT GORDY
(http://www.sykespreston.com/ & http://grantgordy.com/)

Miranda Sykes and Rex Preston got together with American guitarist Grant Gordy for a gig at Sore Fingers Week to such a rapturous reception that they just had to repeat it in a UK tour. Miranda?s sensitive double bass and spine-tingling vocals are now a permanent part of Show of Hands and we?ve seen how well they are augmented by Rex?s wonderful mandolin playing. Add in Grant?s flat-picking virtuosity, jazz exploration and classical sensibility to create a rare collaboration not to be missed.

SEPTEMBER 11TH ? DANA & SUSAN ROBINSON
(http://www.robinsongs.com/)

Dana and Susan Robinson blend roots and tradition with contemporary song writing, bringing to their performances an understanding of America's musical heritage. Dana writes songs and tells stories about America, the land and its people. Together, in concert, you'll hear two rich, intimate voices, intricate and powerful guitar and banjo playing with a handful of fiddle and mandolin thrown in.

SEPTEMBER 18TH ? STEVE ASHLEY
(http://www.steveashley.co.uk/)

Steve Ashley began singing folk songs in 1961 and was a founder of Maidstone Folk Club in 1964. He then came to wider attention with his award-winning album ?Stroll On? and was lead singer in the original Albion Country Band. He has since worked in various line-ups, as well as solo, and is renowned for his songs, which have been recorded by many leading artistes, including Fairport, Phil Beer and Martin Simpson.
