Subject: Gun and Spitroast trad music classes - 12th September
If this email doesn't really apply to you, please pass it to someone who
might find it useful!
The next Horsmonden
traditional music class
is on Wednesday the 12th
September. The main tunes are
Sussex Bonny Breastknot and The Steamboat, but as usual there will be a third
that we'll learn slowly by ear on the night and which I will later record and
put on YouTube so you can go back and try it again.
We'll likely play a couple of tunes from earlier classes to warm up, but the
real work of the evening will be to concentrate on the new tunes, which we'll
play steadily and slowly, only moving on to the next one when it seems right
to do so. We'll also spend some time thinking about how we can tackle the
tunes and make them lively, danceable and interesting.
Towards the end of the evening, we may retire to the bar for some rather more
informal sessioning!
The trad music class meets at the Gun & Spitroast pub at Horsmonden at
8pm on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
The classes are free and all are welcome.
Download pdfs, abcs and access YouTubes of the tunes we're working with at:

See you all soon I hope,
Gavin
