The Melodic

Formerly Melodica, Melody and Me. We're thrilled to have one of our favourite acts back under their new guise! Hello, The Melodic. The Melodic are a quietly radical band. Conscious and quiet, they are the first young English band to lionise Chilean neo-folk rebel Victor Jara since Sandinista-era Clash. More info...

SPIRO Live at The Foundling Museum

10 May: Part 1 of our 2 night Residency with the Band; Spiro are an instrumental musical group who emerged from the Bristol session scene in 1993 (when Saturday night television was golden, Cilla Black was a legend and the hairstyles were simply magical). They soon settled on a line-up which remains unchanged to this day.

Reach for the Bunting

15th May Going Brazilian! Gwendolen Von Einsiedel - member of radical Ceilidh troupe the Ceilidh Liberation Front - has just returned from covert opps in Brazil. Her mission was to radicalise the locals with traditional ceilidh styles.
What ensued was a fusion of trad UK and Gaucho Ceilidh which will be premiered at this Bunting! Special dance lesson from 7pm and ceilidh proper from 8pm. Come dressed in your finest Brazilian carnival/Gaucho style for a chance to be crowned King or Queen of the Bunting (ooh the Kudos!).

Ellie Rose Rusbridge "Pathts" EP Launch

12th May We welcome Ellie Rose Rusbridge to launch her brand new EP - Pathts. Ellie's beautiful voice could melt event the blackest of heartstrings and we're pretty sure her very lovely Laura-Marling-meets-Regina-Spektor-esque EP will do exactly the same. Prepare yourself for something quite special. More info...

Trembling Bells & Mike Heron & Shelagh McDonald

18th July Acclaimed folk-rock group Trembling Bells team up with Mike Heron (Incredible String Band) for their first fully collaborative concert tour ?The Circle Is Unbroken'. The show debuted to glowing reviews at Celtic Connections in January, and celebrates Mike Heron's legacy in his 70th year.  The concert highlights their musical sympathies, as they exchange material in an evening comprised of classic String Band songs, and the contemporary tunes of The Trembling Bells.
