Sidmouth FolkWeek (2nd - 9th August 2013)
Summer is heading our way! We're starting to feel a festive flutter as the blue
skies and sunshine appear and as our programme shapes up for Sidmouth FolkWeek (2nd
- 9th August). Promising a sizzling line-up in a stunning seaside location, the
festival offers a great family holiday for all music lovers.
Our Taster Programme
is out next week, available as a download on the website, offering a glimpse of what's on when throughout the week.
The taster gives festival goers the chance to plan a personalised festival
experience with a flexible
range of ticket options now
available from full season tickets to day/individual event
tickets.
Legends of the folk scene will join legends-in-the-making, with headliners
including: the iconic Nic
Jones Trio, the first lady of folk-rock Maddy Prior, a blast
of raw Celtic power from Capercaillie,
party favourites Peatbog
Faeries, Devon's creamiest Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes, the
breathtaking Flook,
firm festival favourites The
Spooky Men's Chorale, the joyful Jaipur Kawa Brass Band
with their vibrant celebratory sounds from Rajasthan and, music from the
Atlantic fringe, with The
Unwanted. As well as these bill-toppers, we have an ALL NEW family festival,
dances, ceilidhs, international performers, displays, morris dancers,
workshops, sessions and the famous torchlight procession?in a diverse and
entertaining programme fizzing with festive atmosphere.
