FRIDAY 21st FEBRUARY PETE COE

An impressive singer and multi-instrumentalist (melodeon, banjo, dulcimer and percussive feet), Pete can handle anything from ballads to comic material. He gives atmospheric forceful interpretations of traditional ballads but also enjoys putting across a comic or satirical song and has written quite a few of his own. Sold Down The River Again and Waves Of Tory, pointedly reflecting on the Thatcher era, were featured in his band Red Shift. "Every aspiring young performer needs to watch this man whose driving, footstomping delivery on a variety of instruments and outstanding voice is an object lesson in regard-for-your-audience basics."  Paul Davenport, English Dance & Song http://www.backshift.demon.co.uk/

FRIDAY 11th APRIL

THE FRASER SISTERS - JO FREYA and  FI  FRASER

Jo Freya (born Jo Fraser) usually heard in bands such as Blowzabella and Old Swan Band, loves to perform with her sister Fi Fraser who plays fiddle and clarinet - Jo is on saxes, clarinets, whistles, and piano. Their playing brings freshness to many dance rhythms and their singing has that wonderful texture that you only get when siblings sing together. They have a wonderful range of diverse material, singing anything from Tom Waits to a traditional ballad or comic song.
