all over England and Ireland. Marianne is a multi award winner at both the All
Britain and All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil. She is the current champion on this side
of the water, in both Lilting and Singing in Irish, and is likely to lilt if
the need for a dance arises before the fiddler has reached the
crossroads! Tonight she launches her new CD Charmed (Fao? Dra?ocht)

FRIDAY
11th APRIL
THE FRASER SISTERS - JO FREYA and FI
FRASER
Jo Freya (born Jo Fraser) usually heard in bands
such as Blowzabella and Old Swan Band, loves to perform with her sister Fi
Fraser who plays fiddle and clarinet - Jo is on saxes, clarinets,
whistles, and piano. Their playing brings freshness to many dance
rhythms and their singing has that wonderful texture that you only get
when siblings sing together. They have a wonderful range of diverse
material, singing anything from Tom Waits to a traditional ballad or comic
song.

Around'. http://thealbionchronicles2.tripod.com/id12.html

"This music is inspired by
traditional players, it shines like a lovingly polished old wooden
chair which remains fit for purpose through the centuries. No flash,
no fancy arrangements, simply lovely musical playing which inspires you to
dance or just sit and enjoy." Peta Webb
