HAYWARD & PARSONS

SETTING FREE THE SONG OF BRITAIN

Will (AWalkAroundBritain) and Guy (Doctor of Music) have a new project: Hayward & Parsons.

Listen HERE: www.soundcloud.com/haywardparsons

For many years, British folk songs have been collected and locked away. Hayward & Parsons release them to their native environments, singing them at their sources, to re-wild the song-scape of Britain.

We travel on foot, following ancient pathways, foraging wild food, sleeping on soil, drinking holy water and cooking with fire.

The song of pilgrimage is a living tradition and mighty joy.
Today - May 27th 2014 - we start from Winchester to Canterbury along the ancient Pilgrims Way.

Take the footpaths. The way is yours.
