From Louisiana Bobby Michot, guitar &vocals with Susi Mills on fiddle and from France Alan Gatay on accordion: these superb traditional Cajun musicians play a very special gig for the barn: be there!
Lafayette born Bobby Michot plays firm and immaculate rhythm guitar and sings in the unique style that typifies the Cajun vocals. He is an ambassador for the best in the authentic, pure traditional early Cajun sound and in spite of pressure to modernise has remained faithful to the music's origins. Playing since 1982, he formed ?Les Fr?res Michot? with his four brothers and has toured the World with such prestigious musicians as the late Eddie Lejeune and Nonc Allie Young. In the past five years alone he has toured Europe with his own band, "Les Voyageurs Cajin", with "Sacaulait", ?Savoy-Courville-Michot? and Morris and Dexter Ardoin. In Lafayette, Bobby can be found on the bandstand with all the legends of traditional Cajun music.
Susi Mills is a respected fiddle player and has her own band ?C?est Bon!. She will be found at all the festivals and gigs in and around Lafayette.
Alain Gatay last played at the barn with his band Bal de Maison, he is a regular visitor to Louisiana and is at the centre of the French Cajun scene.
Venue: King Charles Hall, 3 Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells TN2 5TA
