PICK OF THE WEEK:
SLINT PLAY ELECTRI C BRIXTON
This August pioneers of the post-rock genre Slint
play the Electric Brixton in one of only a handful of UK
dates in 2014.
Having gradually worked their way up to iconic status
since the release of their seminal 'Spiderland' album in the early
90s (re-issued earlier this year as a 23rd anniversary boxset), Slint
have only regrouped intermittently since disbanding to play to devout
fans and justify rock music canonization. Tickets are already selling
fast for what prom ises to be an unmissable gig.

spent the winter and spring of 2012 recording Images du Futur. They
have deepened their approach, using minimalist techniques to create
maximalist works. The record's brilliant and they're a revered live
act so don't miss out - buy tickets now.
