Weekly News

England vs Uruguay // The Ben Millbery Band // The Elbeats // Dulcie May & The Mystery Cats

Good afternoon! And for those of you in the World Cup spirit, do join us tonight for England vs Uruguay on our in house cinema screen! Kick-off is 8pm.

It was a great atmosphere last Saturday for the match. Heres all of you glued to the screen...

Also, I wanted to bring to your attention our next special ticketed event which is drawing nearer.

The Cyborgs // Wednesday 25th June // ?6 in advance, available behind the bar and online HERE.

Now this one, I personally would NOT miss!

In their own words ...

The Cyborgs is a two man band of ?'elektrock'' boogie.

They have their own dirty blues elektro shit and they play even some traditional songs of the early years of
delta blues.

The music style is really original, and even their appearance, 'cause the Cyborgs play wearing a black welder
mask; nobody knows their identity?they are the same thing in the same time. One point that is not sure is if they really wear a mask or if they're like this.so how much of human there's in their body is still unknown a story tells that they come from 2110 where there's no more blues and the world is almost over (no sun light, no music, no dreams..); they came back from century to century to try to find information to keep the blues alive, and in their songs they sing about their world, and how much it's wasted. Somebody tell that they wear a mask because they don't know the sun light and they never seen the stars and the sky?
some other tell that they don't want to show their face, as they sing in the song NO! NO! N O!: ?'Save yourface?.''
In an interview the Cyborgs said: "we come from the future, in the present, to keep the past alive.."

Their names are "Zero" and "One".

Cyborg-0 sings and plays guitar with his never stopping chunky chunk thumb of his right hand.

Cyborg-1 plays keyboard bass with his left hand, and drums with the other parts of his freaky body.
