In their own words ...
The Cyborgs is
a two man band of ?'elektrock'' boogie.
They have
their own dirty blues elektro shit and they play even some
traditional songs of the early years of
delta blues.
The music
style is really original, and even their appearance, 'cause the
Cyborgs play wearing a black welder
mask; nobody
knows their identity?they are the same thing in the same time. One
point that is not sure is if they really wear a mask or if they're
like this.so how much of human there's in their body is still unknown
a story tells that they come from 2110 where there's no more blues
and the world is almost over (no sun light, no music, no dreams..);
they came back from century to century to try to find information to
keep the blues alive, and in their songs they sing about their world,
and how much it's wasted. Somebody tell that they wear a mask because
they don't know the sun light and they never seen the stars and the
sky?
some other
tell that they don't want to show their face, as they sing in the song
NO! NO! N O!: ?'Save yourface?.''
In an
interview the Cyborgs said: "we come from the future, in the present,
to keep the past alive.."
Their names
are "Zero" and "One".
Cyborg-0 sings
and plays guitar with his never stopping chunky chunk thumb of his
right hand.
Cyborg-1 plays
keyboard bass with his left hand, and drums with the other parts of
his freaky body.

Friday

The Mike
Heron Band feat. Nick Pynn
Tickets
?10 in advance available behind the bar and online HERE
A true superstar of the folk scene. He founded the
legendary and aptly named Incredible String Band in 1967 and in the
ensuing years recorded with the likes of Pete Townshend, Elton
John, Jimmy Page, Richard Thompson, John Cale, Keith Moon and Steve
Winwood, with the Rolling Stones and Robert Plant citing him as an
influence.
Together with Robin Williamson and Clive Palmer, Mike Heron was a
founder member of The Incredible String Band. Formed in Edinburgh
in 1965, they soon broke from the folk club beginnings they shared
with other emerging artists such as Bert Jansch, John Martyn, Davey
Graham and Billy Connolly to pioneer an eclectic "world
music" approach.
Signed by Joe Boyd to Witchseason, they produced over 10 seminal
albums including "Five Thousand Spirits or the Layers of the
Onion", the Grammy nominated "The Hangman's Beautiful
Daughter", and "Wee Tam and The Big Huge". In 1969
they were the only Scottish band to appear at Woodstock.
