STEVE KNIGHTLEY AND THE WAKE THE UNION BAND

HAILSHAM PAVILION - WEDNESDAY 20th AUGUST AT 8.30pm

 

Shrewsbury Folk festival have asked Steve Knightley to present over the August Bank Holiday weekend a special  "Wake the Union Band" headline show featuring musicians involved in the making of the classic Show of Hands album.

 

So along with Martin Simpson, Andy Cutting, Phil Henry, Hannah Martin, Rex Preston and Miranda Sykes, he will be rehearsing and putting together the final touches on Tuesday 19th & Wednesday 20th August at Herstmonceux Castle, before performing a  special Preview Concert at the Hailsham Pavilion at 8.30 on Wednesday night, 20th August.

 

A limited number of "public seats" (?25.00) were made available when the show was announced last January and were quickly snapped up -the SOLD OUT SIGNS SOON WENT UP -  BUT  NOW A FURTHER 12 SEATS ARE BEING RELEASED....and are available from the Hailsham Pavilion - 01323 841414 and www.pavilionhailsham.co.uk  - further details at www.spyboy.co.uk

 

I'd also like to tell you about a show my good friend Natalie is putting on at the Lamb, in Eastbourne's Old Town, on Thursday 17th July (8.00pm) - it features comedian Rory McGrath (Three Men in A Boat etc) and Philip Pope (Not the Nine O'Clock News, Blackadder and Spitting Image) in an Edinburgh Fringe preview of a new show called Bridge Over Troubled Lager...."This is where music and comedy meets, have a few drinks, fight and then stagger home singing hits from the 60s....Something to offend everybody".
