Subject: Summer klezmer

Hi all

It's South London ahoy as the London Klezmer Quartet prepares for a foray to Clapham this Sunday 13 July for a summer concert & tea dance at Omnibus, a new venue. We'll be playing a selection of tunes and songs - Indra's here! -  from the new album, and in the second half we'll push back the chairs and Ilana will lead dancing.

Diary date: LKQ album launch on 20 August at the Vortex, Dalston. It seems only moments since Butterfield Green was our 'new CD', but hot on its heels comes 'London Klezmer Quartet Calling', due out 8 September.

Other noteworthy events over the summer include 2 days at Broadstairs Folk Week (concert, dance and workshop) and our residential klezmer course in Youlgreave, Derbyshire, 29-31 August, which will include workshops, sessions and a concert.

LKQ's concert and Summer Tea Dance in Clapham is Sunday 13 July at 4.30pm

LKQ album launch is Weds 20 August at 8pm

September's looking like fun too. We have an appearance with Indra at Kings Place Festival at 6pm on 12 Sept. Then there's the Equator Festival (Women of the World) at the same venue on 20 Sept.

Other news
