JAZZ AT THE TOM THUMB

A very special night as we celebrate a year of Jazz at the theatre. Our guests will be Dave Corsby, flute, saxophones and clarinet, Martyn Rawbone, trombone and piano, Chris Rumsey, clarinet, alto and harmonica, and Julie Sharp on vocals. As ever, Tony Hudd on guitar and Harry Cook on double bass.

Storytelling from the heart returns to the Tom Thumb Theatre.

After Dark Tales open the new season by welcoming Dave Tong, the renowned Yarnsmith of Norwich, with "The Shaming of Agnes Leaman", a rollicking fusion of factual stories taken from all ?classes' of society with fictional stories about beggars, thieves & pedlars, merchants, lords & kings.

 

Saturday 13th September
WRONG 'UN

Red Ladder Theatre Company presents  a new one-woman musical written by Boff Whalley (Chumbawamba) and directed by Justin Audibert.

Wrong ?Un tells of the adventures of Annie Wilde, a Lancashire mill-girl galvanised by a rousing mixture of injustice, conviction, self-doubt and fear on her journey from schoolroom to prison cell and beyond in a musical drama that draws on class, privilege, hope and disappointment in wartime England.
