Subject: Twice the fun this weekend!
Hi Everyone
Wanted to catch you all before it's Friday already to say - firstly - thanks
for coming along to the Gulbenkian last Saturday to see Sally Barker and Vicki
Genfan and thanks for signing up for the mailing list - our numbers are still
continuing to grow which is very encouraging. Sally's voice was even more
clear and captivating live than on the tele, and it was great to hear so many
of her own excellent compositions. Vicki was superb too with her percussive
'Newton Faulkneresque' guitar style. It was great to hear all the stories
about Sally's experiences on the Voice and to find out that Tom Jones was
actually quite nervous when it was his turn to sing live.
Secondly - to let you know that there are still a few seats left for tomorrow
night at the Gulbenkian with Nick Harper and Turin Brakes. This is truly my
dream line-up - to have both those artists on on one night - I'm still
pinching myself that they said yes Debs! A few front row seats were released
this morning and apart from that there's just the back corners and a couple on
the sides, but it will be a stunning concert where-ever you sit so please
don't miss your chance. If you're hoping to get a ticket on the door you may
be disappointed. Phone the box office on 01227 769075 in the morning and I'm
sure Helen or Lianna will save some for you.
Following on from that we have The Open Mikers on Saturday in the Kingston
Barn - with a surprise special and slightly green guest!!! Tickets for that
are selling very fast too with only 19 left as I write this. Again if you're
thinking of turning up and getting one on the door you may miss out. I'm
going to be a bit busy tomorrow but you can still buy them online at
wegottickets - follow the usual website links.

September is proving to be an fantastic month for us here at FitB
Towers....probably our best month in 11 years of doing this. Thanks to
everyone who's come along and helped make that happen, it's hugely
encouraging. If we can keep this up throughout the rest of the Autumn we may
be able to stop sending Rosie up the chimneys.
Have a fabulous weekend whatever you're doing. Check out the stunning Bridie
Jackson and the Arbour who are coming to Whitstable in a few weeks time - I'll
tell you more about them soon, but I've seen them live and this will be
another breathtaking concert. Booking info on the website.
