- We're looking forward
to the regular First Sunday tunes session at the Gun and
Spitroast on the 2nd November. It will feature lots of tunes
from the tunes workshops (mostly well known, of course) and
whatever else folks feel like bringing along
- On the 4th November
there's another song workshop at the Gun and Spitroast from 8pm
- And on the 10th we're
meeting in Marden to work on some local carols to sing in the
local pubs and sessions to sing around the Christmas
season
Please pass
this email on to anyone you think might be interested.
The Gun & Spitroast at Horsmonden has a lovely new oak floor -
which, combined with the low ceiling, will make the pub's lounge a
great room for sessioning. So come along in your droves on the first
Sunday of the month!
On Tuesday the 4th we have the next song workshop at the Gun for
those who enjoy a good sing. It's two hours of pretty well constant
singing, and a lot of fun. We'll be including another local carol and
we'd love folks to come and practise some of the other local carols
our friends have found for us.
We're also planning to spend a couple of hours working on the local
carols at Marden on the 10th November. This is to be at our singing
friend Geoff Burr's house, Little Southons, Maidstone Road,
Marden. If you get lost on the night call me on 07985 522734.
Finally -
why not make plans to bring family and friends to the dance on the
29th November - they're really popular family friendly occasions,
with games and songs as well as dancing. Tickets are ?6 and ?4
(concs). There's no pressure to play all the tunes if you don't know
them - but do please come and play the ones you do know.
