Will Varley at The Turner Contempory in Margate this Friday

Greetings,

As the nights get darker we bring you news of a very special Smugglers Collaboration to brighten the autumn vibes at the Turner Contemporary Gallery this Friday the 7th November. There will be performances from Smugglers singer-songwriter Will Varley, Appalachian clog dancing duo, The Arkwrights and folk collaboration band, Ladies of Lake (inc. members of Cocos Lovers).

There will be opportunities to try out some folk craft techniques from needle felting to peg loom weaving with members of Turner Contemporary's Studio Group and Craft Club, and of course you'll be free to enjoy Turner Contemporary's current exhibition. 'Jeremy Deller: English Magic' explores the diverse nature of British society - its people, icons, myths, folklore and its cultural, socio-political and economic history.

The event is totally FREE entry, and promises to be a magical mixture of art, craft, music and performance, here's the facebook event, and the page on the Turner's website: What's on | Turner Contemporary.

Beans on Toast's whiskey soaked folk songs tell tales of sex, drugs and politics and are all wrapped up in is trademark hilarious showmanship. These gigs promise to be stonking nights out with our very own Will Varley providing main support for the length of the tour. Have a look at http://www.willvarley.com for all the gig listings and to buy your tickets.
