This popular band, Accordi Disaccordi return to the UK from Italy ACCORDI DISACCORDI
Hot Italian swing with:
Alessandro Di Virgilio Guitar, Dario Berlucchi Guitar and Isabella Rizzo Double Bass
Accordi Disaccordi is a very active Italian project both on the national and international scenes.
This band is based on a Gypsy jazz repertoire, presenting typical national and international classics from the best 1930s? music in a modern vein. Following the same Gypsy style we write our own numbers and rearrangements. Some of them are more modern and not strictly jazz, taking inspiration from the style of the popular guitarist Django Reinhardt.
Tickets at www.wegottickets.com/lequecumbar or www.QuecumBar.co.uk or £10 cash on the door, open at 6, food until 10, all tables allocated on arrival diners get preferential seating, arrive early for the best seats.

SUNDAY/MONDAY 4/5 JANUARY Special Event £8
THE HOT CLUB OF JUPITER
The Hot Club of Jupiter was formed to provide the music for the 2013 Renault Clio online ad campaign, which was promptly judged too lewd for public consumption and withdrawn. The band, however, lives on playing their unique brand of Gypsy swing, hot jazz and songs of middle-class angst and caddish behaviour.
Intrepid adventurer violinist Kit Massey has performed all over the globe, playing violin with the Santiago Philamonia, Chile and studying Karnatic violin traditions in Mysore, India.
Christian Miller is a much sort-after exponent of French and American guitar styles often headhunted by visiting international bandleaders. The rhythm section of Rory Dempsey (double bass) and Matt French (drums) are veterans of many west end shows but are occasionally allowed to emerge from the sub-terrain darkness of the orchestral pit to lend their infectious swing and uncanny musical telepathy to the Hot Club of Jupiter?s sound. thehotclubofjupiter/soundcloud.com
Tickets at www.wegottickets.com/lequecumbar or www.QuecumBar.co.uk or £10 cash on the door, open at 6, food until 10, all tables allocated on arrival diners get preferential seating, arrive early for the best seats.

EFFRA
Effra are Alex Bishop (guitar), Tom Newell (fiddle, mandolin) and Aidan Shepherd (accordion). Heralding from Bath, Shrewsbury and Canterbury respectively, they met in London in 2011. Although coming from predominantly rock, classical and jazz backgrounds, a strong connection was quickly formed, and they began meeting regularly to write and develop music that shared a common ground.

Early performances were well received, and the band soon grew an identity of its own, fuelled by ideas brought to the table by all three members. In 2012 after only a year since their first meeting, the band won the Bath Folk Festival ?New Shoots Competition? on the strength of their compositions and high-energy performance.

Tickets at www.wegottickets.com/lequecumbar or www.QuecumBar.co.uk or £10 cash on the door, open at 6, food until 10, all tables allocated on arrival diners get preferential seating, arrive early for the best seats.
