Festive Season at Gulbenkian

December 2015

December is nearly here and with it comes Gulbenkian?s festive season offerings including brrrrilliant performances and Christmassy films.

Our snowy spectacular Snow Play is a brrrrilliant showdown between Spring and Winter, over who gets to stay and who has to go! This festive frolic and smash-hit London production is 50 minutes of top-notch clowning and shivery slapstick suitable for ages 3 and over. Snow Play will be at Gulbenkian from Tuesday 9 ? Sunday 21 December and tickets are ?8.50.

Three Half Pints take on a timeless Christmas classic as they slip, trip and tumble their way through A Christmas Carol with a mixture of slapstick comedy, visual gags and anarchic festive foolery on Friday 5 & Saturday 6 December. Tickets ?8.50 (Student ?6.50)

There is plenty of music to while away those long winter nights including rising stars of the UK?s Alternative Folk Scene Gerard and the Watchmen on Saturday 6 December, the hypnotic and melodic musicianship of James Kirby on Friday 12 December and join us for an evening of fantastic folk music with the Oysterband on Saturday 6 December.

Be amazed by Christopher Wheeldon?s ballet Alice?s Adventures in Wonderland broadcast from the Royal Opera House into our cinema on Tuesday 16 and Saturday 20 December, tickets ?15 (student ?13) and join in the fun with special sing a long screenings of Frozen on Saturday 20 December and Tuesday 23 December, tickets ?3.

See Christmas classics on the big screen including It?s A Wonderful Life on Sunday 21 December, The Muppet Christmas Carol on Monday 22 December, National Lampoon?s Christmas Vacation on Saturday 6 December and the very Christmassy fable (that inspired You?ve Got Mail) The Shop Around The Corner starring James Stewart on Monday 22 December.
