Subject: Martyn Joseph - Sold Out
Hi Everyone
Just to let you know - if you haven't already seen on the website or facebook
- that tomorrow's concert with Martyn Joseph in the Kingston Barn is sold out
now. We have a waiting list for returns, but so far no-one has cancelled.
Thanks everyone that's bought a ticket - it's a lovely feeling to be giving
you this news instead of saying pleeeeeeaaaaase come along ha ha !
Those that did respond magnificently to the appeal for a Luka Bloom audience
were not disappointed. It was a wonderful evening, and Luka is a shining
star. I'm sorry if there was confusion over the special offer - it was buy
two get one free, not buy one get one free..... meaning a free third
person.... we weren't trying to trick you, just fill the seats.....
Here's some of the feedback....
"Great evening with Luka. Been following Christy for years, why has Luka been
under the radar. Got go and get his back catalogue. Many thanks Deb for
showing me the error of my ways. "
"Such a lovely total surprise. You tube clips made me doubt but all the
positive reviews made me think there must be more to this man. Loved the
songs, captivated by the wonderful guitar playing but most of all Luka's
delightful, warm hearted personality 'stole'the show. Do hope he will come
again."
"Great night, great venue and Luka on top form."
"Luka was fabulous wasn't he and such a great fellow to talk to."
I didn't quite break even but Luka wouldn't hear of me losing a penny and
adjusted his fee accordingly, we like him even more now. The rest of his UK
tour sold really well, but apparently in areas with a large Irish contingent.
That and the fact he'd never been to Kent before either so we were starting
from scratch. But he'll be back and we'll do better next time I'm sure.
Here's a link to his feature on the Tom Robinson show last Saturday

Ticket update....
Only 18 left for Andy Cutting in the Black Robin.... probably less because
some people I know are coming havent' bought theirs yet.
Still plenty for Luke Jackson and his trio on the 14th December at St Georges
Place, and plenty at the moment for the Albion Band in Ashford, though they
are catching up with the Aggies!
Wasn't it fantastic to see John Tams, with Joey and Topthorne - the Warhorse
Horses, at the Royal Albert Hall British Legion Festival of Remembrance on
BBC1 Saturday night, well worth catching on Iplayer if you missed it.
Got to dash - off to watch Murray v Federer at the house of friends who have
SKY!
See you tomorrow
Debs
