Martyn, who will be performing with Iris Bishop (Concertinas, Accordion) and Jon Wigg (Fiddle), has been a stalwart of the folk scene since the 1970?s. Most of his music comes from Australia, where he lived in the 1960?s (working on a South Australian sheep station) and has since re-visited many times. He is an engaging performer, combining songs, recitations, stories and anecdotes of outback life.

Mike Silver is a long time favourite at Dartford Folk Club who has been writing and playing music for more than 40 years. Mike is a consummate guitarist and has a voice that is full and crystal clear. He makes audience involvement an art form, it?s because of the songs and the way he delivers them; people just can?t resist the opportunity to take part in his music. Come down and join in!

As usual, for our pre-Christmas slot, Pam has booked Phil Beer with his choice of guest and this year it will be something really special. Phil and Paul had a legendary partnership in the 70?s and 80?s as Downes & Beer and they also worked together in The Arizona Smoke Revue. Phil is one half of the English acoustic roots duo Show of Hands. Paul works very closely with Mick Ryan, both on his folk operas and as a duo. They are long-standing friends of the Club and it promises to be a great evening. The Club will be packed, so come early!
