all First,
a warm welcome to all the new friends who signed up for these newsletters
while we were in Denmark (and Flensburg!) recently. We had the definite
impression that we were playing to quite a lot of people who were not all
familiar with our songs - and that's a good feeling, it makes the
performances very interesting for us. We'll
try not to bore you by writing too often, and not all the newsletters will
have news about Denmark. But we hope that you'll stick with us, and that
we'll see you next year (see below). |

A quick
peek into 2015: after the "Love Folk" festival in Southport UK on, yes, St
Valentine's Day, After
that the tours are still under construction, and we can't announce too many
details yet. But in
MAY we'll be in parts of south-central Europe for a couple of weeks, with
dates in AUSTRIA, SWITZERLAND and (we hope) north-east ITALY. It's quite a
long time since we visited Switzerland or Italy, indeed three current members
of the band have never played there; so we're greatly looking forward
to that. In
early JULY we hope to be in Denmark again, to play some festivals and
open-air shows - more details when the festivals make their
announcements. And
from 30 JULY to 17 AUGUST 2015 we intend to be in CANADA. The idea is to play
3 festivals in Alberta and British Columbia, plus a string of other cities as
they can be fitted in - even southern Canada is so enormous that
everything depends on the road routing and/or the availability of flights.
That will certainly include Toronto and Vancouver as well as at least 3 or 4
other places. (Can't wait!) And of
course there are various other festivals in UK and Europe we hope to play.
But we'll wait until we see the whites of their contracts before we talk
about those! |
