Subject: Upcoming Show Wednesday 27th May
Hello Everybody
Firstly, I am sorry to say that I have some very sad news. Terry
Fergusson passed away on Sunday after fighting cancer for some months. Terry
was devoted to the club and, along with wife Sandra, did not hesitate to step
into the breach in order to keep the club going when I was no longer able
attend on a regular basis. A lovely, gentle man of quiet strength, who
loved his music, I know that he will be sadly missed by all. Our condolences go
out to his beloved wife Sandra.
Thank you to those who came to see Giles Hedley and
the Aviators last week. A great band in true Chicago style with
a multi-talented leader and a superb group of musicians around him.
This month, on Wednesday 27th May (yes, that's Wednesday!),
we have a multi-award winning musician, a true 'story telling' entertainer and
acclaimed in his native USA as one of the finest acoustic bluesmen alive today.
His name is Doug Macleod and he is stopping off at the
Bottleneck as part of his UK tour. Check him out at www.doug-macleod.com. He has a
new CD out 'Exactly Like This'.
Please don't forget it is on the Wednesday and not the
Tuesday (for this month only).
So, thats Doug Macleod on Wednesday
27th May. Tickets ?12.00, pay on the door. Bookings to the
return email address. Doors open 7.30pm, artist on stage 8.45pm. Good
food, reasonably priced, available to eat at your table if required. Further
information, location map etc. available at www.bottleneckblues.com
Please do support.
